The first 10 smaller paintings were done plein air on the rim and during a raft trip down the canyon with a group of 12 painters. The other larger paintings were done soon after. The trip was sponsored by Sedona Arts Center and led each year by oil painter David Haskell.
I will be giving a slide show of this painting trip on Sunday October 10 for the Santa Clara Valley Watercolor Society (scvws.org) and Saturday October 16 for Los Gatos Art Association (lgaa.org)
